Automatic Water Sampling
The traditional way of detecting microbial contaminations is by extensive manual sampling according to pre-defined periodic schedules, this is the standard approach to water monitoring. These samples are sent to laboratories which normally take several days to test and return results regarding the presence of microbiological pollutants. Unfortunately, this traditional method is wholly ineffective if contaminant levels spike, random sampling likely will not even record the event. The water treatment facility may consequently be producing contaminated finished water, resulting in bad water reaching end consumers.
At the heart of P300's technology is its sampling capability. The system is governed by the detection of contamination, it then automatically takes a sample when the contaminant levels exceeds a pre-defined threshold value (THV). This allows for treatment systems operators to react to the problematic water. The continuous monitoring allows operators to improve the efficiency of their systems and learn about water quality variations due to usage, temperature, seasonality, etc. Cost-efficient and effective, Predect establishes the new standard for online water protection.
• The system supports the traceability of the water sample process.
• Automatic control of when to take water samples that maximizes the knowledge gained from every sample.
• The sampling algorithm is also based on indicated quality improvements.
